The Fattal Hotel Chain is Israel’s largest hospitality organizations with 31 hotels and 7,500 rooms under its management. These hotels are well distributed across the country in all major tourist venues – Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Tiberias, Dead Sea and Eilat. The Chain also owns and manages 30 Leonardo-branded hotels in Europe.
While the Fattal Hotel Chain attributes its continued growth to the combined talents of its many gifted and dedicated people, ultimately this success is due to the determination and vision of its founder, David Fattal.
David started his career as a waiter and acknowledges that this modest beginning gave him early insights into the core values necessary to attract guests and convert them into repeat customers. Showing a natural aptitude, he gained rapidly promotion to positions of influence. In 1984, at the age of 27, he was appointed Assistant General Manager of the prestigious Dan Accadia Hotel in Herzlia. By 1988 he became General Manager of King Solomon’s Palace in Eilat.
Ten years later, in 1998, David founded his hotel management business Fattal Hotels, also taking over the prestigious Meridien Hotel in Eilat. Other hotels rapidly followed as David and his team set about creating and delivering a new benchmark of ‘hotel value’ for guests.
For many years now the Fattal name has been synonymous with innovation in the hotel industry. The Fattal Hotel Chain introduced the all-inclusive system into Israel and has set new standards in the culture of entertainment for both children and adults. Children’s Clubs in Fattal hotels around Israel are generously equipped with the latest games and play stations, catering separately to the 1-4, 4-9 and 9-12 age groups.
In 2007 Fattal hotels expanded its operation to Europe , when it opened its first hotel in Europe,
in Berlin Germany.
Since then the hotel chain has expended its activity to other parts of Germany and to other European countries as Swiss, Austria, Belgium and Hungary.
In 2009, the company completed one of the largest deals in the industry when it purchased Hotels from Azorim and became Israel’s biggest hotel chain. Today the chain’s hotels in Israel include 18 under the Leonardo brand as well as the Herods, Le Meridien, Magic, and U Coral Beach Club brands.
In 2010 Fattal expanded into the field of tourist attractions for the first time when it began to lease and manage Eilat’s largest attraction – the King City Theme Park that is built over 3,700 square meters on three levels.
In 2013 Fattal hotels acquired the Queens Moat Houses (Germany) Holding GmbH group, adding to its management another 20 hotels in Germany.
Today Fattal’s European division manages 55 hotels all over Europe 45 of them are located in Germany, and is expected to expand its operations to other locations.
The Fattal organization continues to make inroads into the hotel market both in Israel and Europe. It attributes this success to a strong determination to ensure that guests leave with an enduring feeling of satisfaction and good value.
